SEA PILGRIMS
is a school for the training of yacht and catamaran captains, with a special focus on practical sessions. We are aimed at improving your existing skills or enhancing your qualifications within the framework of your skipper’s license. Our goal is to teach you the skills of confident management of both sailing and motor yachts up to 24 meters in length, in accordance with ISSA international standards.

Yachtmaster Offshore. Over the years of maritime experience, Dmytro has covered thousands of nautical miles on all available types of yachts and catamarans. An experienced yachts owner who knows everything about the design and features of modern yachts, he spends almost all his time at sea. He is well-acquainted with the waters and marinas of the Mediterranean, a historian, traveler, and the life of the party. A true Sea Pilgrim.

TRAINING FORMATS
Personalized Intensive Training Courses
How we teach?
All course programs are created to help you master the theory and gain maximum practical skills.
All training courses take place directly on board a yacht or catamaran in the Mediterranean Sea, in picturesque locations such as the Lycian coast of Turkey and the Greek islands. The theoretical part is delivered by the instructor in the form of daily lectures before practical exercises begin. Throughout the course, students have the opportunity to immediately apply their newly gained knowledge in practice. Since there are only 4 students on board the yacht or catamaran, everyone is guaranteed to absorb the material and reinforce it with hands-on experience. Unlike most schools, we never have situations where someone doesn’t get a chance to take the helm due to time constraints, bad weather, or other issues.
During the training, a lecture is held every morning. Then, in an open discussion format with the instructor, we go over all the questions that arise. Directly on the yacht, together with the instructor, we observe, check, learn, and try to complete the tasks independently.
Seven to ten days at sea may not turn you into an experienced sailor — but trust us, the first few hundred nautical miles you sail during practice are something you'll never forget. Upon completing the practical course, participants will advance their qualifications and receive skipper licenses and radio operator certificates in accordance with ISSA standards.
Under the guidance of our instructors, you will master all types of mooring in various conditions, sail handling, tying nautical knots, yacht steering, and island-to-island passages — including night crossings. The program also includes mandatory training and practice in radio communication procedures and yacht watchkeeping..
